From the Mirror article:
'“I was constantly asked out on dates, or found romantic gifts and notes at my desk. I found it sleazy and uncomfortable.
"Even when I was in a laboratory in scrubs with no make-up they still came on to me because of my natural attractiveness.
"There was nothing I could do to stop it.”
“I was rarely invited to lunch with them or for after-work drinks.
So how does she distinguish a date from an invitation for lunch or after-work drinks ?
I was thinking a lot of this was bullshit but I do remember my experience in an office with a stunning blonde that worked there. This girl was drop dead gorgeous and very friendly. I don't think guys were placing notes on her desk - her boss would rip their balls off. Any time she was in the area - guys would be stammering, traffic was higher near her desk and she would eat alone in the cafeteria because all the girls hated her. I met her on the go train one day and we traveled together and hung out after that. She was sweet and I was newly married - nothing was happening but if she dropped over to my desk to say 'hi' on her break - my secretary would always run over to drop something off and ask how my wife was doing.
After my constant badgering, my secretary took her to lunch and they became friends. The girls got to know her and soon everything reached a normal office work environment. Maybe this girl just didn't give it enough time to let things calm down.
