Here's some interesting information from someone in the know. To get listed under the top, gallery or video tabs of Backpage, you have to actually buy an ad with Bitcoin. However, if you don't have Bitcoin, you can purchase a free ad, and it ends up going under the date listing, where I don't think many people actually look. My guess is that girls who are just giving it a go, or trying it for the first time, or have no clue about Bitcoin, end up having their ads go under there, so it's a nice spot to search for new talent.
I'm actually finding that looking under the date tab is just the best way to go in general, as there really is no point looking at the gallery when it's nothing but fake Asian ads. Previously I was searching for Ajax or Pickering or Oshawa under the search, and while that gets rid of all the Asian ads that just post generically in Durham, you end up missing girls who post a location of Bloor and Harmony or Westney Road and Hwy II. Lately, I've found it easier to just go to the date section and look for girls listing their locations as something more specific than Durham. The location is listed right at the end of the title of the ad, so it's fairly easy searching.
