... I'm all in favour of buying Canadian and not buying American products but this Tim Hortons being owned by Americans that's a tough call if anybody else going to boycott Tim Hortons?
Given a choice I would wager you would take the coffee EVERY timeTheir coffee is awful, I'ld rather drink my own piss.
Is Van Houtte still around? I used to go to the one on Queen St. in the Beaches when I worked down there ages ago, I think it's gone.So glad I gave up Tim’s years ago. Switched to Van Houtte. Happy to find out it is also a canadian product. Bonus
I get it for at home.Is Van Houtte still around? I used to go to the one on Queen St. in the Beaches when I worked down there ages ago, I think it's gone.
Also like Timothy's and Second Cup for outside the house coffee, but these places are few and far in between.
You don't realize how bad Tim's is until you're off it for a while and it's still jammed
You can't underestimate the power of branding.
I still go the odd time out of pure convenience.
It's a different product. I never considered Tim Horton customers as customers that like coffeeSo glad I gave up Tim’s years ago. Switched to Van Houtte. Happy to find out it is also a canadian product. Bonus
I think the retail is done, only for home purchase like Van Houtte.Whatever happened to Timothy's world coffee...just too out of my way... i'm mostly using keurig pods at home or starbucks when i go for a walk...
I can’t stand any coffee chain. Ever since I started making my Keruig coffee, that is all I can drink. When touring I brought my own Keruig coffee maker, a smaller one, with me to the hotel. Just so I wouldn’t be without Keruig coffee. And always Van houtte pods. I don’t change it up.Whatever happened to Timothy's world coffee...just too out of my way... i'm mostly using keurig pods at home or starbucks when i go for a walk...
Agreed, Tim's abused the Temporary Foreign Workers legislation to staff the stores with cheaper labour with no protections.Tim's being staffed almost entirely by Indian origin workers has frankly lowered my desire to go there. Communication is a problem and the orders are not followed, plus they are filthy inside.
This may be viewed as intolerant but I'll say it, I have observed that many franchisees are staffing entirely with Indian origin employees, preventing other Canadians from working - some people suggest Tim's is getting paid with our tax dollars to hire foreign workers. I do not know the truth, but if so, that's plain wrong. Used to be that McDs or Tim's or the local gas station could be a good start to employment for a High School student. Youth unemployment 16-24 is approaching 20% in the Toronto area.
yes you do ...I joked about that when we met in Peterborough 2yrs ago. It was set up beside the hotel room coffee maker. Nothing wrong with keeping things you like. Next time I'll bring the Kawartha butter tarts or Rheo Thompson mint smoothies to go with your coffeeI can’t stand any coffee change.
