Michele Ferrero opened his pastry shop in 1948, with an ancient regional recipe for hazelnut spread. In 2008 he surpassed Silvio Berlusconi as Italy's richest man from the his company Ferrero SpA. He branded all his creations, Nutella, Mon Cheri, Tic Tacs, Kinder, Ferrero Rocher. He passed away at the age of 90 in January, according to Forbes he was the 20th richest man in the world. People love sugar.

Now Tim Horton's is getting in on the wave, they are introducing pastries with Nutella filling. Not a Tim's fan myself but I have to admire their business acumen, this could increase their market share beyond Canada considerably.

Who knows what this could lead to - a Tim's may open in Torino.

Frankly it should be illegal to serve this fast food crap to people. Whether it's doughnuts, burgers, fake fries, or crappy coffee. There is nothing remotely healthy about eating and drinking this crap. How the hell they get away with serving it and worse yet, people eating and drinking it is beyond my limited consciousness.

BS

Make it illegal to serve fast food? You really want the government to dictate what you can and can't eat?

Relax, nobody is forcing you to eat their food!

Saw these at Costco stacked up at the end of an aisle. Should have seen the look on people's faces when they spotted them. lol

True, but our health care tax dollars are decimated by those who choose to fuck up their systems via their uncontrollable, unhealthy lifestyle habits.
Right, so Canadian health care shouldn't pay for people who smoke, or for people who break their legs skiing, or for kids who get concussions playing hockey or for treatment of drug addicts or a whole host of illnesses that arise after somebody has made the choice to engage in risky behaviour. Beware of the slippery slope!

A lot of people think that motorcycle riders are allowed to ride in US states like Connecticut and California without helmets because those states value individualism. Bullshit. Fact is, a motorcycle rider who has an accident and is not wearing a helmet is more likely to be dead at the scene. No cost to the health care system.
