There are actually de-escalation tactics that “might” have been employed. “Devil details”…case by case…..However one of the bigger ( right term?) they face, is in fact what un-involved by-standers might do. Hence why sometimes what appears to be crossing the line aggression…….That obviously applies with respect to the first person being restrained, as well as the “not so smart” intervenor…

And it ( what some see as aggression) s justifiable.

100% agreed. Now, if he just had the gun down at his side, I'd say work on de-escalation. But the second you raise it, all bets are off. Police are trained to shoot to kill. And while this dude could have been an idiot or had mental health issues, he could have shot the cops or innocent bystanders.

If Bluford indeed said those words "i will fuck you up" and proceeds to point a gun...he was in point of no return...you threaten with words and points a weapon replica or not....anybody with a weapon good enough to defend against you will be applied....
