Well, that isn't quite as bad as something I did once....(and the only reason I am telling this is because I think everyone needs a good laugh)....

Back in the 80's when desert boots were in, I had a pair and they got soaked once during a thunderstorm.

So being at the office and no change of shoes around, and I couldn't be walking around squishing I had the bright idea of putting them in the microwave to dry...

Well, they dried in no time flat but the leather hardened and shrunk to about 1/3 the size and they were useless afterwards LOL. In fact, they were so distorted that they looked like something designed by HR Giger DOH

Well, I got caught out at lunch time in a thunderstorm and I wasn't about to take em off and go barefoot down yonge st......(probably would have worked out better if I had come to think of it LOL)

True story... had an ex-GF who cooked the Thanksgiving Day turkey without taking it out of the plastic wrapper. House STUNK after an hour, and of course we had to throw the bird out.

Same girl (before she met me), cooked dinner on the first night in her new apartment. Turned the oven on to warm it up, but forgot to take the warranty and instructions out first. She ended up dating one of the firemen for a while.
