But some of these "stats" do raise questions:

- 50% are single; 49% are married (And what is the other 1%?)
- 44% have a Bachelors degree; 38% have a masters or PhD (Only 18% do NOT have a post-secondary degree?)
- 41% have been been married at least once; 38% have never been (What about the other 21%?)
- 40% have an annual income in excess of $100,000 (Seriously? Sounds kinda high to me.)
- 56% say they have never had an STD (Meaning that 44% have? Think about that for a second... )

I dunno about this report... You know what they say about statistics...

Keep in mind that she compiled those stats based on polls that were done on TER. Not exactly the most rigorous methodology.

I found the stats very interesting. Are these US or Canadian statistics? Who is crazy enough to want BBFS?

All-American, as far as I can tell ... would be interesting though to compare with Canadian hobbyists, to see if our national differences were reflected. For example, would Canadians favour universal access to free hookers?

that made me laugh... hadn't even thought of that.

Many of the questions were great but the percentages obviously didn't add up.

so skewed to the US though.. 47% prefers school girl costume above all others... really??? I've only been asked a handful of times. but maybe because I'm not a petite girl.. and that might go better with their fantasy version.

I found that one interesting too. I do think that most gents would prefer to deal with girl directly whenever possible, even in Canada, but I think those numbers are really high...

I'm quite familiar with TER and the indy girls rely almost exclusively on their TER reviews to lure clients and the clients use the reviews exclusively for the most part to book.. both for the safety factor.

They have to be verified individually and get referrals from at least 2 reputable escorts to see one of the others that they have on their wishlist. It's a very exclusive club being interviewed in other words... if you did the same interview with Craigslist hobbyiests you'd get a whole other set of results!

An agency is often unnecessary and they are more targeted for arrests than the indy girl who uses the TER pipeline.

Thanks for the info Carrie ... given some of the stats, I suspected that the polling sample would have to be skewed mostly toward Indy clients. Obviously, in Toronto at least, there must be a lot of Agency users to support the seemingly endless number of Agencies. I use both Independents and Agencies, and it's true, as Ashton says, that I might prefer dealing directly with the lady, but often availability becomes an issue. When it comes down to the actual quality of service, I can't say that I have any preference ... ymmv is always a factor.
