I called that redhead at about 9:00am and did NOT leave a message. 3 hours later I was in the car with my so and she calls back. I answer and she says you called me. I say sorry I did not call, and then she insists that I called her. I finally told her that she got the wrong number and I hung up. My so was a little suspicious.
I never left a message. I called from my unblocked number; that was my fault. Plus my so could have answered my phone since I was driving.

DO NOT CALL HER FROM AN UNBLOCKED NUMBER if you don't want any trouble.

OMG... can we not give this lady a break. And before everyone jumps down my throat (absolutely no pun intended) she obviously should not have done that!!!!

But she has been raked over the coals enough I would think... maybe not that bad on this Board but definitely on the other.

I think you have to relax and get yourself a hobby phone for this purpose solely. At least she was polite enough to return the call. You asked for the invite by placing your call in the first place.

She is getting raked over the coals and it's sad to see, but if this and that other thing she's doing is true, then it's deserved. It's SP101, you don't call a client unless it has been determined to be ok first.

Wtf is this crap coming from where people ask 'why didn't you leave a message' or 'you should have a hobby phone'? She shouldn't be calling back period for the exact reason the OP stated - he was with his SO.

Simple code words

It should be understood that whenever a service provider calls a client and the client says "Sorry, you have the wrong number." it almost certainly means the client can't talk at that moment. He may be with his SO, as was the case here or he may be with work colleagues, or his children, etc.
Either way, there has to be some understanding both ways.
The provider should respect that answer for what it is and the client should make an effort to call back as soon as possible.

I have a "friend" with who I communicate by text and phone. We both understand perfectly well what an unanswered call means. Same thing for a wrong number response.

As usual, discretion is paramount with this hobby.
