"The Power of Love!" - This is a Horrible Thread!

Of all the love songs that have ever been written, there is only one that really impacts me deeply and emotionly!
Whether sung by Jennifer Rush, Celine Dion or Laura Brannigan, the lyrics of "The Power of Love" absolutely melt me!

To lay next to a woman and have her sing or cite "I am your lady and you are my man", would start the warm churning in my stomach!
To have the wife remind me that "I am your wife and you are my husband", just doesn't have the same effect!
To continue the song with, "and when you reach for me, I'll do all that I can!" just blows me away! It certainly beats the wife asking what the hell I think I'm doing!
Of course, the capper line is "We're headed for somewhere, somewhere I've never been."
What a shame the wife doesn't want to go anywhere, let alone "there"!

I get shivers everytime I listen to the song, which is frequently, and fantasize about such a woman that could stir such deep emotion! Any man should be so lucky to find one!

Sorry folks! Just the incurable romantic in me! Wonder why it surfaces when the wife is at work and not when she's here!

Between a rock and a hard place
And here I thought the lyric was "I am your LADY and you are my man..." The word lady implying that he bends her will...

But Huey Lewis said it best when he sang "The power of love is a curious thing. Makes a one man weep and another man sing".

now what was that song called?

You Got Me!

Hey Triple "W"!
Duly edited!
Thanks!
"Woman" just seemed to have more of an animal ring to it!
I'm feeling a lot like a "man" animal today!
