I would blacklist this employee. Never, ever going to consider this person for any position I am responsible for overseeing directly or indirectly.

In politics, when a senior staffer dies and the media cover the story, there are always dozens of vultures putting their names forward to fill the position. Sometimes successfully, but never respectfully.
