The Ottawa scene - is it really that bad?

I've only dabbled in the Ottawa and Halifax areas. I can tell you now that Ottawa is much better than Halifax both in the past and now. I see a lot of negative comments though on Ottawa as compared to Toronto and Montreal in particular. Montreal I can understand, since it not only looks less expensive but many of our local greats seem to come from there or somewhere else in Quebec. Toronto though, the sites I read all look extremely expensive and all about model quality looks as opposed to service. Is it really so much better in the big city?

Trouble is it is a true coin toss, even with reviews sometimes... If you are into agencies there is not much consistency and prices may be all inclusive with one girl and then a la cart with another, all within the same agency. Because of this you can't say prices are good or bad because it totally depends. And to take that a step further the bad SP's are riding on the backs of the good ones and are able to charge more than they are worth.
Same thing with independents...Your Result will vary.......

I'd say the Ottawa scene is not as bad as people believe. Much like the complaints about the city not having a nightlife, etc., you just have go and find it here, it doesn't introduce itself on its own.
Disagree. You had me until you said night life. I'm sorry, but I can say the samething about a small town like Guelph "its fun if you look for it".

Fact is, you rarely hear the same complaints about Toronto or other big cities.

You can go anywhere in downtown Toronto (which I might add is more than a handful of neighborhood) and have something to do.

I'm not saying every Barrhaven needs to be fun. But downtown outside the market and Elgin is virtually dead outside business hours
.

In most real cities, every new neighborhood I visit (I'd say close to 2 dozen in Toronto) has something to do within eye sight, or a very short walk.

Things don't close at 6 everywhere. Also there are places in Toronto that have great night life that most locals haven't even been to, cause there's so much to do in there own neighborhood alone.

Ottawa doesn't have that. Also, u needs to consider that people new to the city may not have a car. So sure u might find a great gem in Ottawa in the evening like that great restaurant in Renfrew county, but that's not part of Ottawa.

This is a city, if you can't walk or take a short metro ride to majority of great neighbors, it doesn't really count. Cause if it does count then Belleville has a great night life due to its close drive to Prince Edward County and Toronto.

Plenty of great places around Guelph, but the bar for guekph is set lower cause its a small town

Ottawa has got to compare itself to the big boys. Its the capital city for god sakes

The only capital city in the G8 not to have a full fledges Metro system I might add.

Nightlife depends on your interests. Our food scene is growing, our arts and culture is not as bad, clubs are filled with students, Elgin St with the older crowd. Not as much variety as the bigger cities but you can always find something to do.

As far as SPs...it's not for me. I prefer the touring SPs myself but there are some local SPs that are good and well liked. Even with this, the Model looks with PSE still eludes me. If you gave me Emma from MGF and gave her Lili Love's energy and PSE attitude, I'd be set...especially if she were local.

You think Ottawa is bad... Try Kingston :frusty:
C'mon man! Comparing Ottawa, the capital of a major G8 country to a small town like Kingston isnt even fair. Its like the Waterboy on the high school Senior Varsity Team making fun of the JV squad. Its petty and makes Ottawa appear like a backwater provincial town (which I guess it is...)

Not really. It is no Toronto or Montreal or Vancouver but it is among the top 5 in my view.
Ottawa is a top 5 city in Canada... but when you only have 6 cities that are "major cities" (anything over a million)... 5 is pretty bad...

I have my doubts that Ottawa is even in the top 5. Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver obviously take the reigns. But then the only REAL cities you have left are Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa (if your not over 1 million, your not a major city).

Having lived in Calgary and Edmonton, two cities that have Light Rail and Subways running into the downtown core, I have to say Ottawa is looking pretty small town. That goes for both the night life and the SP scene.

Having also lived in Halifax, I'd take Halifax night life over Ottawa any day (if you havent been, its worth while to visit or move to if you can find a job).

But we always have Kingston to compare ourselves to. Definitely living the high life compared to Kingston. I sure hope our City Planners and local businesses dont think that way, cause if they do... I think I just identified the underlying problem with Ottawa.

Twice as much? I've never seen anything close to that. I have the odd time seen a change in rates for different areas of the country, not Ottawa specifically, but never more than $20-50.

Do you have anyone in mind that charges double?

OnTheWayOut

Every now and again we see these types of posts. It is what you make it, there's lots of choices here for both lifestyle and hobbying. If you are the hard to please type that needs easy gratification then you may not like it here. But it's a great city to live in, raise a family and yes, get laid. Ottawa must be one of the cleanest capital cities in the world. I've lived in a few different places in North America and I enjoy Ottawa a lot.

Once I got acclimated I had no trouble finding both local and traveling talent that I will never forget. And if you are the sort that needs easy gratification, Montreal is not far away. To me, this is one of the nicest areas I've lived in. Had (and still having) some of my best sex here as well. I just wish the AMPs here would get table showers (TS), have to go to the US for that. I would think about going to AMPs more if they had TS, but for now it is a special treat when I go south. But I digress.

As for traveling girls charging double, that's absurd. Many charge the same as their home location or just a nominal surcharge for expenses. If the extra charge bothers you, travel to their home city to see them. Oh, that would cost even more, wouldn't it?

Then again many here complain that the hobbying sucks in the US while I find great girls and value there. Just spent some time down south and had more good pussy for less cost than even Montreal. Perhaps some of you need to re-evaluate your research methods??? Or perhaps you are traveling to the wrong areas. I'm sure good pussy isn't just dropping into my lap.

I'm sure this won't be the last thread of this nature and everyone is entitled to their opinions and likes/dislikes. I hope everyone finds what they want/need and has a good time. Be well and cum often.

Depending on what population figure you look at, there are in fact only 3 cities that are over a million people: Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. If you go for metropolitan area, then there are six, with Ottawa, Vancouver and Edmonton getting added. Either way, Ottawa ranks 4, with Calgary being number 3 for cities, and Vancouver being number 3 for metropolitan area.

Oh I agree Ottawa and Kingston are very different all I was alluding to is that perhaps you should look at what you have and enjoy because there are other places that hobbying is a difficult pastime!

There are many times I am jealous of the talent you guys have in Ottawa. Lucky for me I fly through there about once a month!
