The new Ford GT

Hey Ladies and Gents.

This new car on the scene of Ford prizes has got my attention right now.

The rebirth of the legend ford GT. This car is packing allot of power and looks. Powered by the Ford MOD supercharged V8, 5.4 litres. Pushing about 550bhp with 500 lb-ft of tourque. 0-100km/h in a wopping 3.5 sexonds.

This car has really gotten my attention from the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren speaking to the Liaison manager that is dealing with that car in canada. That car rocks too, but way too pricey for my taste.

What are you're thoughts on the new Ford GT ?

It is a really nice looking car. A colleague of mine in the states has one and he's like a new kid. Mid-life crisis I guess. I'll direct him to TERB.

Shit if I had the money I'd buy one. Supercharged cars are easy to hotrod too. Just switch to a smaller diameter pulley.

The prototype was released a few years ago but they are finally putting them on the market now. They kept some of the GT40's exterior features from the 1960's and this car used to compete with Ferrari's and other top cars in it's original time.

I wouldn't mind having this car.

Cobra,

Go for it, its a better deal for the $$ than anything else out there. I love the looks.... 68 fastback styling, really looks and acts the part of a muscle car.
You're right bud, but I would love to get my hands on a GT 500. Now that is a car. I have seen some replica's of the GT 500 from "Gone in 60 seconds" Just sooo nice..

Ford actually attempted to buy out Ferrari way back in the early 1970’s.. But the deal fell through. Can you imagine if they had? We would have the “Ford Ferrari in place of the GT.

Even though Ford sells more cars, Ferrari has prestige. Ferrari normally doesn't make more than 350 cars for each specific model during the year. They made around close to 600 F40's almost 15 years ago and that tarnished their image. That is why they never made as many F50's, 360 Spyder's, 550 Maranellos or the new Enzo Ferrari.

Ford actually owns Jaguar, and at one point in time Chrysler owned a big percentage of Lamborghini. Ford has several good vehicles, the new GT included, but I don't think they or any other company will purchase Ferrari. At least not for a very long time because when you look at Ferrari's current models, as well as their dominance in F1 they have been back at the top for about 5 years now.

From what I heard it runs between $140,000 - $150,000 US. Good thing the Canadian dollar is closer to the American dollar now.

Oh, oh. Now you've done it. Poorboy's gonna be on this like a stream of sperm on a pair of tits in a bukake session.
Exactly what is your problem rama putri? I said earlier it's the kind of car I would buy, which means I agree with both svt cobra and baci2004 that it's a nice car. Quit trolling and practice reading previous posts.

It is nice to see them putting the cobra into production (tho limited it may be). I saw the discovery channel special on how they produced the prototype for Carroll Shelby. I wonder if they all get an original signature like the prototype?

I think all are a perfect blend of old school styling and new technology.

I see from the videos that all these "pony" cars still are light in the ass end and slide like a goose on sheer ice.

As for the poster that wrote about "Elinore" (GT500). There's a company in the US that takes any mustang and reproduces the GT500 and is actually authorized by ford to give it a new VIN number, badges etc. How about 800 hp AND nitrous?

Let's hope these new models help ford out. Their sales have been lagging these past few years.

Yes I have seen the show on Discovery that takes old GT500 shells that have been abused and sitting in farmers feilds and rebuild them. They are sweet cars.
