How has the advent of computers, Terb, websites and voicemails impacted the adult entertainment industry, (eg. massage biz and prostitution in general)?
While I am certain that it has its' obvious advantages as a medium for advertising......Sp's and Mp's surely getting more notoriety outside of their geographic regions for example, making them much busier and richer with each new review etc., I am certain that it must also have its' disadvantages.
Just five years ago most were still advertising in newspapers, and relying on the good ol' telephone and voice communication for their business. Some still do.
Now today many agencies, Sp's & Mp's have websites, voicemail, cells etc. Surely, I would think that it has resulted in many spending and wasting much more time on their computers, reading posts on sites such as Terb, and answering a multitude of pm's, e-mails and voicemails leaving them with much less free time for themselves, their families and for doing other activities than before.
Several Sp's have stated that they waste more time answering idiots who don't read their advertisements, asking for services that they don't provide etc. That they receive pm's and e-mails that are rude and disrespectful. That they spend alot of time answering those that just want to tease and make idle chit-chat, and on those that aren't serious about making appointments and or don't show up etc.
Dare I say it, that a great number of the ladies as well as the guys have become even more dependent, if not even addicted to this technology, and to sites such as Terb.
One has only to look at the the growing number of "ladies in blue," on this site everyday. I'd be curious to know how many hours a day ladies in this industry spend answering pm's, e-mails and voicemails?
How many wish they could go back to the days of advertising in newspapers, adult magazines, word of mouth and the good ol' telephone. Just some food for thought and discussion.
