In America they have this culture where the government is free to take from its citizens in the name of - "Supporting the troops", "patriotism" etc.,
But when it comes to giving back to its citizens, they have very successfully created the rhetoric - "We dont ask for handouts", "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" etc.,
This is why many righties routinely argue against their own interests - like opposition to free healthcare. They dont understand that the government actually OWES them these services, as it is their tax money that they are giving back to them!
It is a false sense of morality and couldn't be dumber.

How is it A GOP bill? It was a compromise approved by votes of 350-80The Dems control the house and Senate right now. LOL. They voted for it too
How do the dems control the house? I thought they lost the house but control the senate.
They did, but it doesn't change hands until January just like when the President wins in November he doesn't take power until January.
Like the term 'entitlements'.
Sort like going to a store, paying for clothes and then someone saying 'that's an entitlement, you're not owed that'.
You pay your taxes you should be entitled to the government services they are supposed to fund.
