Another one bites the dust. If this keeps up, there will be less demand for retail space. If malls were to close, where will teenagers hang out?

My kids will not ware GAP, apparently some tart started a saying Gay And Proud. I wonder if that has something to do with drop in sales.

GAP Gay and Proud has been used for at least 20 years if not more

Always some dummy at school claiming a revelation that they heard this is what it stands for

Gap use to be lot better quality. I like Gap. Sizing fits perfectly right off the rack with no need for alterations. Like all clothing I wouldn't buy anything at retail price. Always just the sales racks. They're not closing all stores. 230 across the globe and the world is a big place.

What I've noticed though is that Winners has become very popular.

Watched an eye-opening Netflix documentary called "The True Cost", which discusses the current state of the fashion industry and how it affects us on a global scale.

Yeah no big deal. They have like 1300 locations. Someone above posted they call this "The Amazon Effect". In this case, I would call it "The Gap Effect" as I'm sure many people are buying their product online instead of their brick and mortar stores.

Gap is not going R.I.P. They are closing 230 stores worldwide. That doesn't mean they are going out of business. We live in a world of online shopping. Downsizing doesn't mean dying. There are too many Gaps anyway. Everywhere you go there is Gap.

Most of my cloths have been from Costco for the past 15 years.... I guess that I'm getting old so I no longer shop for cloths in other retails except at Costco. I somehow have found that my cloths from Costco last much longer than from other retails and they only costed me perhaps 2/3 or even 1/2 of the prices of other retails.

Not only the clothing but also my shoes and boots have been from Costco for the past 15 years or so.

in about 10 years we will be printing our clothes at home, in our exact size, the only thing you'll have to buy is the design, and even that will be copy-able. Welcome to Digital - your IP means shit all and thats probably they way it should be.

As for the OP where will kids hang out? infront of videogames and with their VR relations.

Speaking of price, I buy my jeans at Walmart when I travel to NY State. I typically pay $10 - $12 US plus 8.875% sales tax. They're good quality name brand jeans that work out to less than $18 CAD per pair. The same jeans at Old Navy or the GAP are double the price. Walmart also has a better selection of styles and colours.

You can do that right now. Just purchase a pattern, material and sew away to your heart's content.
