Diamond Dallas Page has built a good life for himself outside of wrestling, now he's doing what he can to help other wrestlers less fortunate than himself.

Hard to believe Scott Hall (aka Razor Ramon) has deteriorated so much. The guy was such a stud. Saw his old sidekick Kevin Nash on TV the other day, and he looks good...hair a bit gray but still looks good.

Shit, couldn't Vince help some of these guys out. What's a few hundred grand to him when these guys made him millions in the 90's.

Man.. Vince really pimped these guys out and made himself millions while paying 95% of his stars squat.. These guys are 6 foot 5 250lbs doing summersaults in the ring all for little money. This is why so much of them ended up OD'ing in some cheap hotel room or offing themselves.

So true. Most people don't realize how overwhelming the road schedule is for wrestlers. What you see on the weekly TV show is just one aspect, and the house show circuit they all have to do is insane.

Haven't watched wrestling for about a decade, ever since Vince bought WCW and killed the industry.

Those guys have to be responsible for their own actions too. It's not like they didn't make millions in their prime. They battle so many demons that more money right now is actually the last thing they need as having money before and spending it on booze / drugs was what got them to their current down point.

You got that right.. It's a 365 day a year deal. There's no off season like sports. These guys are away from their family living in a hotel room probably with several aches and pains but "the next show must go on" so they take pain killers. This is how they get hooked.

Yea the few really big star's have it made but i'd say 85% of them have it tuff.

Wrestling ended for me when Edy Guerrero died, I watched Chris Benoit's eulogy and knew what was coming.

The program that DDP is running is being financed by Vince McMahon - finally his conscience got to him. Scott Hall came out of Stampede Wrestling, wrestlers that came from that circuit were all workhorse ad most of them came to a bad end. There was no better wrestler at getting fellow over than Scott Hall. He constantly found trouble out of the ring but never injured an opponent in it.

Classic example:

Thanks for posting the videos OP.

Yep, wrestling and marriage don't really work out. I think Stone Cold got suspended for bailing on a show to go home because of a divorce. Married 3 times. I guess it works if your wife is in the business (The undertaker married a wrestler) or travels the circuit with you like Booker T's wife did.

Then again, Wrestling fans have can wives and girlfriends who don't appreciate it either. A few years ago, my now ex-girlfriend couldn't stand that we didn't go out until Friday night Smackdown was done. Why is it so hard to find women who don't like aggressive men in tights performing in a modern days circus/freak show/Arena? LOL.

Out of all the Eras in wrestling, the current one just doesn't have the same appeal to me the way the Attitude Era did. I guess they recognise the fall too which is why they bring back Stone Cold and The Rock. I still follow it from time to time around the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania.

Being a professional wrestler is a hard life, if they are wise enough to select a good mate then they can weather the storm. Undertaker, Kevin Nash, Mickey Foley and to a certain extent Dwayne Johnson have all benefited from a stable home life. It helps tremendously if the SO understands the business. Kevin and Tammy Nash have been married for over 25 years and have a relationship similar to Gordie and Colleen Howe. He lucked out, not every man can obtain a smart woman who's also devoted. He no longer needs to wrestle, it's his way of keeping fit. Men in the 7 feet range are prone to heart attack.

You may want to check out just exactly what the WWF/E has tried to do for these guys, such as rehab, before making that statement. You can't help an addict unless they want to help themselves first.
