I have been lurking on this board for a few months and don't have
anything worthwhile to post in terms of reviews since I live in the U.S.
Planning to visit hopefully in the early summer and enjoy the great city
of Toronto. But here is a review of a different kind. I first and only heard
there music on a college radio station based in New York. The band
hails from Winniped Manitoba. Went to see them last night in NYC in a
small place called Joe's Pub. They band played for an hour and 15 minutes
which was only limited because there was another band that was playing
@ 9.30 P.M This band is awesome. To describe there music it's a combo
of rock and bluegrass (all acoustic). They all played off each other during
during the show but what brought them together was the lead
singer. She had a very soulful and powerful voice. With the short blond
hair asian features, and and tat's that covered her left arm I thought she
was HOT !!!!. or maybe was it her great smile. After the show the singer
and the drummer were hanging out at the bar talking to audience until
they settled in with people they knew at the show. I don't how popular
they are in Canada but if you like acoustic/bluegrass combined with
a great singer this is a band to checkout.
