HOLY SHIT can Billy Duffy rip that guitar, and Ian Astbury still sounds amazing after all these years. First concert back since pandemic and what a show - what a fkn show these lads put on. If you are a fan, you would've jizzed all over Rama on the way out. Next up will be the triple bill featuring Trooper, Prism and SAGA .

The only downside was I spent like 5 hours driving back and forth coming in from the Niagara region for a 90 min. show. Next time stay at Rama and hire a SP for an outcall. Lesson learned - still a great show. Time for Golf now - have a great Sunday morning mates!

Great review Sonic Temple. I don't know much about the Cult, but I was wondering if they have their original line up. The reason I ask is it seems a lot of bands that have been around for a while now tour with altered line ups, either by choice or by health reasons.
P.S. you don't have to be a Cult fan to jizz all over Rama

I know a couple of people who went to the show as well. Love that they did Peace Dog, that's my favorite Cult song.
I've been to a few concerts at Casino Rama and they've all exceeded my expectations. Worth the drive.

I wish they would finally open up that new concert venue at Fallsview Casino. Then we could get bands like the Cult in Niagara. It was supposed to open over to years ago, don’t know what the holdup is.

Good band, I like several of their songs. It was interesting Ian Astbury (the frontman) for a period of time dressed Hippy Style while the rest of the band looked/punk/New wave. You can see it in this video.

The only original members left were Duffy and Astbury mate. I actually wasn't fan until they released 'Electric' after that - I was hooked. I actually started to like the 'Love' record when I was in Uni as they use to play 'Rain' and 'She Sells Sanctuary' constantly in the pubs back in the day. 'Love Removal Machine' of of 'Electric' was the tune that blew my mind - Duffy's solo in that song still sounds fresh today as it did back then when I first heard it. Been a fan ever since.

That album is tremendous. One of the best rock albums of the 1980's. If I'm not mistaken Rick Rubin produced it.
