Watched the first several episodes- and I am hooked.

Its not "The Wire" but it is definitely quality drama, quality TV and hard-core Blue action.

Toronto never looked so sleazy, and so real.

There is already a thread on "The Bridge" but it doesn't hurt to have a second (or third) thread.

I think the title comes from the "bridge" that separates the rich neighbourhood from "the projects". The poor people (many on welfare) in "the projects" think that their rich neighbours get more police services when the police actually answer a 100 times more calls to the projects than to the Bridle Path or Forest Hills.

I do not think there are any NYPD police cars? True, they never say it IS Toronto, but they dont say it isnt.

Guess they gotta keep options open for a USA sale of the series.

No, that was "Flashpoint" and not "The Bridge". You are getting your flashpoints and bridges confused. Insert "bridge" smilie here.

There was an earlier episode on The Bridge that is eerily similar to the shootout on Cherry Street yesterday. Life lesson number 27: You try to run down a police officer, you die. Nothing complicated.
