For those 24 die-hard fans out there, I just want to know which season you think it the BEST! To re-cap a few highlights from the previous seasons:

Season 1: Attempted assassination of Senator Palmer, Nina being the sell-out in the end.

Season 2: The nuclear bomb, the fake Cypress taping.

Season 3: The anthrax threat, the execution of Ryan Chappelle, Tony Almeida committed treason to save Michelle.

Season 4: Tony brought back to CTU, bombing of Air Force One, stolen nuclear warhead, fake death of Jack Bauer

Season 5: Current with the assassination of former President Palmer, death of Michelle Dessler, Chloe getting laid.......along with the nerve gas threat

I like Season 2, but only because Kim was stuck in a cold basement wearing that skimpy little white tanktop:)

Season 1. Just because of the level of personal involvement for Jack made him such a compelling hero. Here's a guy who's trying to put his life together (after a separation from his wife, and his daughter harbours bad feelings towards her), has his wife and daughter kidnapped and is forced into a plot to assassinate a presidential candidate. He's being used because he killed the family of someone else who is looking for revenge. And finally, he's betrayed by someone he trusts. You develop a connection with Jack because you feel the pain he's going through.

That being said, all the seasons rock for a variety of reasons. If I had to rank em
Season 1
Season 2
Season 4
Season 3

watched season 4 without watching the first 3 seasons??? You HAVE to start from the beginning to get a feel of the whole show!

I can even argue with myself as to which season tops so I will give the worst season instead......& that's season TWO! I think they should just end the season at where they blew up the plane carrying the nuclear bomb but instead they extended it with the fake Cypress taping. Then again, it's not like I didn't like it. It's really just a comparison between the different seasons. I can put on the first DVD of any season & spend the next 18-20 hours watching the whole thing.

Season 5 is not bad either......other than the fact that the handling of the nerve gas is a little too quick. Took them about 10 minutes to remove them from that basement to a truck & then another 20 minutes to have them cut up.......really didn't appreciate that.

Season 1- The best. Maybe that`s just because it was the first one I saw and it was so different from anything else on TV. Perfect blend of action and suspense without getting too far-fetched.

Season 2- Perfect for about the first two/thirds of the season, contained the most shocking twist ever when they revealed who was actually working with the terrorists. But after the plane went down everything that came next seemed anti-climatic. Also , turning Mike evil briefly was a dumb idea and totally inconsistent with his character.

Season 3- Started out with a ridiculously convouluted plot that still makes no sense. Halfway through the season it was almost as if the writers decided to start over again and things did improve for the last part of the season. Kim was whiny and annoying all year. I would rate this as the worst season, but the Chapelle episode may be the best episode ever.

Season 4- Solid all around, but too much of a "been there, done that" feel to it. Jack`s going against CTU procedure, there`s another mole at CTU, etc., etc. It would be great if it was the first time you saw the show, but longtime viewers could easily tell what would happen next. On the positive side, Mandy got a lot of screen time in the last two episodes.

.....started Season Two instead of starting it from the beginning. You will have to understand the whole story from the get-go in order to enjoy it entirely. I personally ranked Season Two to be the worst sesons out of the complete four thus far. Going through Season One now may not be as intriguing to you than people who starts from the beginning. Oh well.......

I just bought Prisonbreak & I am almost at half of the season. Many compare it 24. IMHO, this is not half as good as 24 but it's still a good show to watch. I will be starting Lost after PB so I will keep you posted in another thread.

24 still ranks NUMBER ONE as my favourite show. How about Grey's Anatomy? I hear good to excellent recommendation from colleagues, friends to my wife. Is this another ER with a different cast? Cuz if that's the case, then I might as well wait for Nip Tuck Season Three :D

I only watch these when they come out on DVD. To me the best seasons so far are seasons 1 and 4.

I read a newspaper column last week that complained that this Season 6 of 24 sucks compared to other seasons. Hope that's not true. Looking forward to it coming out on DVD in November or so.
