In BKK staying anywhere on or off Sukhimvit Rd is a very good idea. You can pretty much walk into any bar or club in the area and have your pick if you are relatively presentable. Higher end places like the Q Bar and Bed can be fun too. Ofcourse make sure you try a soapy, just google bangkok nightlife and you'l get some web sites with the info you'll need to educate yourself. Try to find a "guest friendly" hotel in order to avoid paying a fee for having a lady over for the evening.
When i went i was kinda surpised. Not by the lady boys, cuz they were awesome. But in every single bar there's hookers everywhere, but i had no idea because they just dress the way girls do here, so i was like 'why is it only girls in all the bars' and everyone looked at me like i was totally dense. But as for looking for a companion, it doesnt seem to hard

Its not that hard at all to find a girl....
Plenty of bars (Go-Go type bars) where there are girls just dancing around and you simply just pick the one that you like....
All you do is talk to her and if you like her you pay her bar fine (the fee that goes to the bar) and she'll go with you....
Then you have to negoiate a price with her (prices vary depending on the girl and how long you want her to stay with you)....
If you're lucky; she might like you and stay with you for free.....
Instead of actually travelling with a girl you might as well just pick up a new girl whereever you go....though if you really like the girl then take her with you...
The bars are pretty easy to find...
People (Thai and Foreigners) are pretty friendly and usually will help you with directions/information or just get in a Tuk/Tuk (motorized golfcart taxi) or meter cab and get them to take you there....
You might also get picked up by a girl on the street (pretty much anywhere) but then you have to be careful because there is the possibility of getting scammed or you might get a "ladyboy"....
The bars are usually safer in that the Go-Go bars claim that they verifiy that all the girls are girls!!!
And yes... there are a lot of ladyboys....
And for some reason a lot of white foreigners seem to fall for them (especially after a few drinks....)
So beware!!!!
