Textnow, is the paid version worth it?

I know the paid versions of texting apps avoid the advertising, but do they preform any better? Lately I’ve had a few instances of missing messages, that were sent to me but never came through, on the free version of Textnow. Does anyone have any experience with upgrading to the paid version?

I switched to TextMe free version. I find it better but at times it also doesnt give a notification the odd time so you have to open it up to see if you got a new msg. I also close the app when ads pop up and reopen to see the msg quicker than view the ad. If someone else is using an app you should be able to receive pics or vids otherwise just through them using text you won't get those. At least with the free version. Could make a Snap account for those if you want media.

TextMe is easy. I stopped with TextNow because it wasn't taking my login and I think trying to make a new account gave me the issue. Not sure. If you're on Samsung all you do is press the button to see what apps are open and close it easily by swiping. I typically only run about 3 apps or 4 at once so it's not an issue compared to other users.
