Why on earth do you guys text when booking SP?:frusty:

1. ALL text messages can be printed at any time from phone companies, wives, business companies (if using a company phone) or MOST IMPORTANTLY LAW ENFORCEMENT!!

2. Picking up a phone and calling a girl and actually speaking with her means she is more likely NOT to have a pimp or is even actually real.

3. You won't get unwanted constant unsolicited text messages from SP or pimps when you aren't expecting it.

4. When actually speaking with the girl you will get more of a feel if you are actually gonna have chemistry and connect well on your date.

It makes no sense to me why you guys text when you are putting yourself at so much risk. Once you text and send something it is there for life and never goes away and can be pulled up in the future at any time. Even if you are using these special apps that show a text coming from a different number it can all be traced back to your phone very easily. Do yourself a favor and don't text when booking in the future, trust me on this one!

Simple solution, get a burner phone. If you are that afraid of getting caught, just buy a burner phone from 711 with cash and done!

Use a SIM card instead of an entire phone.

Or use an app: txt+.
Hi,

Could you give me more details of the SIM card approach, please? What do I ask for and where do I buy it from?
Doesn't the txt messages (and What's app texts) stay on the device, even with another SIM card?

actually calling is even more incriminating as your voice can be recorded over the phone while you talk with the booker or if you slip up and leave a message on their voicemail. makes for an easy match for police if it ever goes that far. (unless you use a voice effect app)

burner texting is the way to go. most agencies and BP girls prefer texting these days anyways. it allows them to correspond with higher volume of clients simultaneously. also better to text because you have hard proof of rates and times so there is no 'confusion' when you get there for the meeting.

You guys are funny.
Why get a burner phone when then have apps that allow free texting. If you are worried, remove the app from you phone and re-install when you need it again.

Just dont forget to clear your searches LOL.

What do you think the ladies are doing? same thing.
More questions are asked when you have 2 phones and its not for real world work.

Pay cash at a 7/11.
I think its only about $15 or 20 for the sim, add on $25 for time and you're good to go.

So I presume you have to switch back to your old SIM in order to make and receive calls and texts from people who have you old number? Where do the text messages get saved, on your phone or the new SIM? Apologies - I am not fully up to date with mobile technology, since I'm an old fart.

Through txt I get a feeling of their intellect and creativity. Stop being so paranoid !!

Just activated my new 711 phone a couple of days ago :) At one time I actually used this service as my personal full-time service, I liked it that much.

Punter, I don't think it matters where the texts are saved on a 711 "burner" phone, because neither the SIM card nor the phone is connected to your identity. No personal info or ID is involved, no bills, etc. You do have to activate your SIM card AND your airtime minutes. You can do these online from any computer.

To sign up for a 7-11 phone service (called "Speakout"), you simply buy the phone, airtime, and a SIM card at a 711 store. Once you've done that, you open the box with the phone in it, take out the phone and install the SIM card, and then dial a 3-digit number and follow some simple instructions to activate everything and find out what your phone number is.

I also prefer written communication, for all of the reasons Charlotte Edwards mentioned and then some. However you want to communicate, take advantage of burner phones now, before "big brother" starts clamping down on us ;)

As I understood it, someone mentioned that I could buy another SIM card that I could use in my existing phone, so the new SIM card is not associated with my identity, however the texts messages are saved on my phone. Is this not correct, anyone?

Punter,

I believe it is correct. But I don't know who could access them, other than an IT person or someone really savvy with that kind of stuff? I do know that each generation of tech and gadgets comes with less and less privacy enabled (like cloud services, texting apps that store your communications on servers, that kind of stuff) which makes privacy a slippery slope with new phones and apps. I avoid Facebook Messenger, Google, even my iPhone for anything I want to keep safe.

I strongly feel that a separate burner phone is the only real way to maintain a "separate life" kind of privacy for texting. Older model ones are good (but not too old). Although, I do know it's a pain to keep a private phone around. Then again, taking a SIM card in and out of some phones could easily degrade cards - I think they're pretty delicate.

I found this article about Tom Brady (an NFL guy who apparently took part in the tampering of footlballs used in a big game - deflating them below the required air pressure). He had his phone and SIM card destroyed to hide about 10,000 of his texts around the scandal:

Are Tom Brady's Texts Really gone Forever? http://money.cnn.com/2015/07/29/technology/tom-brady-texts/
"Most text messages are stored locally on a cell phone. A person can, in theory, recover text messages from a broken phone by connecting the phone to the computer. (It's even possible to read deleted texts -- but you have to act fast: Your phone only saves deleted texts until it needs space in its memory, then it will overwrite them with new information, permanently deleting them.)"

" If Brady sent and received text messages using the phone's default text messaging app, those messages were likely stored on his phone's internal memory and permanently destroyed.
But if he used Google (GOOGL, Tech30) Voice, Facebook (FB, Tech30) Messenger, WhatsApp, or any number of cloud text messaging services, those texts would all still be recoverable. When using those apps, texts are stored on servers, not the phone itself. All you need to recover the texts is to install that same app on your new phone -- and all the texts would appear, even if they were sent from another phone. "

The rest of the article is pretty interesting, if you like football, scandals, and texting privacy :)

Free texting? You mean, based on your data plan? Untraceable too?

When I see my regulars, there's nothing texted that is incriminating.

And usually, when most gals have websites or ads, texting won't involve the details of a transaction except perhaps, "I'd like to meet for an hour".

I never send explicit or incriminating text messages. You can also use innocuous language, and most gals will figure out what you're asking without being direct.

Also, nothing wrong with "companionship" either.

1- WRONG. Only way phone company EVER gives out record of TXT is with warrant. Wife, company etc can never see them. Police can't see unless they convince judge.

2- How? Even if those places like Fairbanks that chained women to beds pimp could certainly have a goto girl who speaks english and can answer questions

3- ??? A hooker who you call (unless you block number) certainly can (and do) send unsolicited TXT back

4- lol. Most pro say very little (either because careful or because no english) and it does not give a feel at all

The last line is the most ridiculous of all. You are a fucking fool if you think once someone sends a TXT it is there for life and never goes away??? You have any clue how much storage space that would take the phone company?
