Texting apps - which one and why

Occurred to me ask you guys.. What texting app do you prefer and why?

Have used a couple, recently I realized there's value in having a in app contact list. So you can add names with rate descriptions to a number. OG app I've been using uses the phones actual contacts.. Or just shows a number. And I get lost in it looking for someone.

Noticed in hushed, you can have that private contact list.
So I've started adding the name - location-rate - and if they do Greek.. It's in the name as well.

Anyway not saying it's the cats meow.. And am wondering if there's something better out there before I commit to one for a bit.

I use Handcent Next SMS

It has a password protected private box, isolated from the main texting contacts.

To send a text or receive a text from a contact that is in the private box I have to enter the password every time to access it.

Keeps me from sending sexy texts by accident to my regular citizen contacts.

Only problem is that it saves contacts to my general phone contact list, so not completely foolproof if your SO goes through your phone.

Luckily I don't have an SO...

Just looked up Hush in the Play Store. It says Hush: US Second Phone Number. Is that the app you're using now? Do you need to set up a second actual or virtual phone number to use it?
