How in the bleeding world can someone like him be on death row instead of in a psychiatric ward somewhere?

1) His psychiatric condition may have changed while he has been imprisoned

2) The legal definition of insanity and the medical definition of insanity in both Canada and the U.S.A. are different.

(Obviously something is not right upstairs if you torture murder a young mother in cold blood, but if when questioned you say "yes killing a person is wrong, but I got hidden messages in my e-mails from "X" saying it was ok to kill "Y" you may be nuts but legally you were capable of distinguishing right from wrong, and you knew that what you were doing was wrong.)

I doubt the man values life of anyone not even his own. He sounds whacked in the head alright and possibly he will view his death day as a party day. If he cannot torture others he tortures himself. If he could I bet he would ask for no mercy so he can feel the pain.
