Oh, whooppee! A karaoke night in a Chinese club somewhere near the North Pole!!!

It would take the combined attendance of Sara and Ms. Dianna from RM, Annalee, Miranda, Jenn Angel, those amazing women from 4Play, Izzy, Oh Serena, Ms. Lake and a few more to begin to persuade me to traipse up there.

And NONE of those women would want to hear me sing. It is not a pleasant sound.

In short, NOT a good idea, although TERB parites are often good times indeed.

*Shudder* bad asian trauma, I've been seeing a therapist for years to deal with my karaoke trauma LOL Imagine William Hung singing Patsy Cline or Elvis with even worse chinese accent.... Man you'd think this "fad" would have died already!!!!

UPDATE

hey guys, some update about the venue

i just called Canton and asked them about room/girls availability, prices etc
and they told me that if we have more than 8,9 ppl going(and presumably need a 1:1 guy/girl ratio) then they might not have enough girls since there r obviously other customers aswell.
Also the prices would round up to about $200-250 more per person.

I also called Arirang(699 Bloor St West, Korean Town) and they said they have at least 14, 15 girls working everyday and could arrange for more(so we can choose) if we do decide to book a room in advance. The papasan seemed like a pretty reasonable guy, they have young Chinese, Japanese and *gulp* Spanish girls he says.
Expences-wise I think this place would only cost about HALF as much as Canton for probably just as much fun.

For me personally Arirang seems to be the better choice right now, the only downside or potential downside to this place is that I've seen "takeout" situations happen in Canton(not often, mind u) but never in Korean town, altho some posters here have suggested that it's available depending on the girl. Honestly I don't expect much other than some drinking, groping and a fun party overall so this place sounds good enough for me. The quality of the girls they get downtown seems to be quite reliable too judging from my past 2 trips to 708, and this place sounds even more promising.

There is a really cool place(can't think of the name right now) on Bloor St.w across from Christie Subway station that charges $5/hr per person.....No matter how many show.......
