Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great concept, but showing ONLY 10 shows (some of which are great ol' toons), and repeating them endlessly, 7 days a week is typical of what we can expect from our pals at Rogers.

I'm sure there are licencing issues and so on with acquiring some of the old cartoons, but making a 24 hour network out of 10 or so programs? Gimme a break! If this is just a starting point, with more shows to come, then fine. But when Rogers is showing a "free preview", they should put together some variety, something to really sell the channel. As it is today, I wouldn't pay one dollar to subscribe.

Now, throw in some more classics and I may bite...

Pink Panther et al. (Inspector Clouseau, Ant & Aardvark, Misterjaw)
Hong Kong Phooey
Jabberjaw
Mister Magoo
Gilligan's Island (animated)
Spiderman (many incarnations)
Jonny Quest
Battle of the Planets
Woody Woodpecker
Yogi Bear & friends
Droopy...

I wish they would show the Tom and Jerry episodes where they chased each other and weren't friends. I remember the; what would be now politically incorrect; aunt jemimah like women standing on a stool screaming at the sight of Jerry. i'd also like to see the return of mighty mouse.

Sounds like the Boomerang channel in the US... one of my favourites

I love the old Tom & Jerry cartoons they show... along with all of the old MGM cartoons & Superfriends

They have Rocket Robinhood...seems like the same cartoon company that made the Spiderman series.Funny enough the R.Robinhood was made by Trillium productions in Toronto.
There is way too much "looney Tunes" ,"Bugs and Tweety" and "Road runner" shows being shown on the whole. Boring as shit if you'd seen it so many many times.

Never the safest place
When will they show the Indianrockolis 500 episode of The Flintstones?
(Edit - It's episode 127, so I would guess it will be shown in early February 2008, if Teletoon Retro continues with one episode a day in the original order.

Teletoon Retro is owned by Astral Media and Corus Entertainment, not Rogers.

Yes, I suppose so if you watch them every day. But they do stand up remarkably well to repeated viewing over the years, particularly since I think they're mostly from the 1950s. When someone sees a long limo drive past and says "Stop the car, Maverick!", most people will know they're referring to a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

good question ...think it is called "Tales from the riverbank" internationally. i didn't realize how old this Canadian creation was. late 60's is black and white versions. the ones i watche in the early 80's were from the 70's. i tried looking for dvds, without success.
some really nostalgic shit for me is the TVO stuff. Cucumber club, Read along, Math patrol and Poka dot door. Now that was Canadian Culture...well ontario for that matter. I fucking feel old..hehe

Cool! The cheesy narration & musical cues totally crack me up now.

I hope I might get the chance to revist G-Force, Fantastic 4 & Starblazers with the same hindsight.

I don't think the Bugs Bunny ones ever go out of style, especially the ones where he feuds with someone.
