They played my high school as well. One of the first concerts I ever saw.
I used to see Frankie Venom around the bars in Hamilton as well. He used to hang out in bar at King & Locke in his last few years that was only a few minutes walk from where I was living at the time.
I saw them many times in bars and concert settings around southern Ontario back in their heyday. Unfortunately the car accident they had, which nearly killed their guitar player Gord Lewis, put a stop in the momentum of their career. If that hadn't happened I think they might have become much bigger stars. Now, with Frankie gone, it'll never happen. That, plus it's forty years later. Lol
I didn't know about the car accident to Gord Lewis, when did that happen. Canadian music went bubble gum in the 80's preferring powder puff bands like Glass Tiger over punk mastery. It didn't help that The Clash's (without Mick Jones) last album was very smelly shit. Frankie "Venom" Kerr was truly one of a kind, he left us way too young.
