No surprise, when ur a rat, u abandon the sinking ship. Keep in mind, this guy kissed Trump’s feet after the Orange One insulted his wife. Trump was right when he called him, “Lyin’ Ted”.
What’s truly disgusting is the idiot lemmings that keep voting for these p.o.s politicians like Cruz, Graham, Bitch McConnel, Nasty Pelosi, Kamala Harris, etc.

i know there has to be public servants who have integrity, actually believes in governing for the good of the people. Ted Cruz is not one of them. If someone called me out and then call my wife ugly. Then lies about my father killing Kennedy. WTF. killing Kennedy, are they serious. i be standing at a distance helping destroy this character.

FOX news confirms he’s in Cancun. Apparently he’s flying back ASAP. If Ted loses his senatorial seat, he can start a landscap business - Grassy Knoll Experts. I’m sure he’ll making a killing.
BUT I doubt the right-wing CUCKs in Texas have the balls to actually elect a public official that will work for them rather than appeasing their bigoted out-of-date beliefs.

In addition to his Grassy Knoll Experts Landscalping venture he will also open his brand new Butterface Fugly Wives Escort Service.

There must be a good explanation for this.

I'm sure this was booked in advance and he couldn't cancel.
I think you're right.
I'm sure he saw the weather reports and thought it would be a good time to escape to somewhere warm before the deregulated grid blew up.

Apart from moral support, or lobbying the Biden administration for federal aid, what can a Senator do about a power outage in his state?

What is the Biden administration doing to address the problem? Or, probably most appropriately, the Governor of Texas?

Not much meat on this story, but it doesn't have the ring of Cruz abandoning his post.

And he could not afford to take the loss of the airline ticket. He is a poor senator, afterall.

But maybe he is going to Mexico with a secret plan of negotiating Texas rejoining Mexico.

Mexico is much warmer and the freeze would not happen there.

CNN are hilarious... weren't they comparing previous administration to Nazies for 4 years?

(CNN) In politics, there are a few unwritten rules that every good politician adheres to. Don't compare any situation to Nazi Germany. Don't get out of step with your party base. And perhaps most importantly, when things go sideways for your constituents, don't go on vacation.

If Sen. Cruz had resigned back in January after helping gin up a violent insurrection that killed several people, he could’ve taken his vacation in peace. Texans should continue to demand his resignation.

Even with voter suppression Ted Cruz nearly lost his Congressional seat to Beto O'Rourke in the 2018 midterms.
