I know there are programs you can download onto your computer to have faxes sent to your computer and put onto pdf's etc.


Is there a stand alone fax machine that can receive faxes , then send it to my computer via e-mail, or cable in a pdf? I don't want to scan all my faxes.

I know of a couple, but they cost about 7K, and don't see the benefit of buying such large machine, for such a simple task. Anything cheaper?

I don't need a machine that big, that does everything under the sun, and has a keypad that can run corporations.
Something smaller is preffered.

take a look at Panafax from panasonic. By far the best fax in the business with the best lan fax setup and easy to use.

they usually go for about 2-3k and you can even purchase in home service.

BTW I am not a Panafax shill. Actually I hate panasonic but got to admit they make a good fax

I guest everybody is using high-speed internet and forgetting about modems. Just buy an external fax/modem and use the built-in fax software in windows. It's not the greatest ,but it's free or try WIN FAX PRO. I would recommend getting a U.S. Robotics external fax/modem

You mean use the 'Classic Phone Tools' that comes with WinXP????

VOIP has a service to receive fax and then email them to you. You can a number in most large americans cities for about 14.95 a month looks great when u have the van, toronto, NYC numbers on your card and you are the only ones that know it is a one man show.
