It was a great fight. I personally had Tarver winning 7 rounds to 5, but I could see how one could have scored it for Johnson.

Tarver landed the cleaner and harder shots, but Johnson kept walking right through them and was the agressor throughout the fight.

I guess the judges favoured Johnson because of his level of activity and ring generalship.

I'm sure this fight warrants a rematch, as it was so close and Johnson said he'd have no problem whatsoever giving Tarver another shot at him.

I missed it too!
Wanted to see it but just didn't get the chance.

Saw clips of the fight on TSN Sportscentre.
Tarver threw some nice straight punches especially the left cross.
Another clip showed Johnson nailing Tarver with an uppercut.

From what I read on ESPN boxing, depending on how one judged the fight; either fighter could have won.

If you judged it by power and precision punches, Tarver won the fight.
If you judged it by aggression and the quanity of punches, Johnson won the fight.

Good for Johnson. One of the nicer guys in boxing. He brushed of questions aksing him if he was one of the best and stated that he still is looking to fight the best.
