What do you bet this Cop gets his job back at some point. This is what I'm talking about. Fire these assholes once and for all. This guy will continue to make $100K for years before he case(s) go to court. Disgusting!

A suspended Toronto police officer, who is currently facing charges related to allegedly threatening someone over a debt, has been arrested for impaired driving and street racing by provincial police.

Constable Lionel Peters, a 17-year veteran of TPS, was charged with threatening bodily harm, extortion, breach of trust by a public officer and careless storage in May of last year. He is currently suspended with pay.

On Tuesday around 1:30 p.m., OPP officers pulled over a vehicle allegedly driving 179 kilometres per hour along Highway 407 near Guelph Line.

The driver was identified as 43-year-old Peters from Paris, Ontario.

Peters then allegedly blew four times the legal limit and was arrested for impaired driving and street racing.

On top of the charges, Peters’ license was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Officer accused of threats, extortion on behalf of third party - May 10, 2019

A veteran police officer has been charged with threatening bodily harm and extortion after he allegedly made an early morning visit to a Toronto home. A news release Friday says PC Lionel Sean Peters of 32 Division, a 17-year-veteran of the service, was in uniform and armed even though off-duty at the time. The release says the officer made threats to the complainant about a debt owed to a third party. Neither the nature of the threat nor the debt are specified. The release names Prakesh Manoharn as the third party He was subsequently arrested and released on bail. The matter was investigated by the Service’s Professional Standards Unit and on the evening of Thursday, May 9, 2019, PC Peters, 42, was arrested. Upon the arrest, his use of force equipment, including his service pistol were found to be stored improperly. PC Peters has been suspended from the Toronto Police Service.
