Yesterday, watching the news, I was thinking, come-on, instead of hasseling everyone at the airport, why don't they profile people and pick the 'highest likely profile' people.

I think I answered my own questions. Have you seen a picture of one of the suspects?

He looks like he belongs at a richmond st club, not plotting to kill innocents.

If they did just pick young to middle age arab looking males they would have missed this one.

Anyone to Scientology has to be pretty high up on the loopy list too. But then again scientologists don't cut off womens breasts because a man touched them or blow up planeloads of people.

Actually the picture is misleading.

The article states that along with his change in religion he also grew the traditional Taliban ZZ Top beard and shaved his head -which may make him stick out in a crowd.

This picture looks like he was still in high school. Besides the guy sounded like a real winner - high school reject, can't hold a job down. It's not a surprise that a cultural outcast and mental midget like this one would be recruited by a terrorist group.
