I think we are in the middle of one of an infinite number of Big Bangs. In our future, the number of black holes will increase in number and size, sucking in more and more matter. At a certain point, their gravity will attract them to each other, until all matter in the universe is in one place. The size of that ubermassive black hole will shink to the point where it becomes unstable, then it will explode in a big bang. Every time this happens, a new and different universe is created. Eventually, a universe will be created that is identical to a previous one, and the series will begin again, so time is infinite, because it is a circle, and any point in time can be considered both the starting and ending point, and you'll be reading this again in 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years.
