In an effort to shed some of my winter padding, I decided to get back to the gym. BTW my gym has become somewhat of a gathering ground for a lot of MPA's and Dancer's. While I was trying to shake off the rust I noticed a magazine lying around. It was a copy of powerlifting usa. And on the cover I immediately noticed the title story which read

"1005 BENCH!"

well being naturally curious I read the story about this guy who became the first man to bench press over a thousand pounds. Absolutely unbelievable! When I came home I did a search and here is the video.

...interesting...

...very limited arm mobility...

Who helps this guy get dressed in the morining? Can he even put on a shirt by himself - no way! I'd like to see an MRI - what do his internal organs look like.

I wonder if he can even open a can of diet coke without crushing it all over himself.

However, he did bench a grand!

He was wearing a specially design support shirt, which supposedly adds 150-200 lbs

Yes I can open a can of diet coke. The shirt only helps support the bar in vertical lift. My organs are in fine shape thank you very much. And for that matter so is my organ.

Juice, GH, Insulin.....that's still heavy. Loose judging - touch and go's....that's still heavy. Titan blast bench shirts, illegal Inzer wrist wraps....that's still heavy.

I met Anthony Clark the last time he was in Toronto - the man is a tank. His records are impressive considering he benches with a reverse grip.

But 1005? wow - my liver is hurting just thinking about it.LOL

Rumor has it there's a brandnew designer juice out there (a bit like THG) thats highly anabolic and very low androgenic. Supposedly you can gain 200 to 300 lbs on your bench within a year.
Not sure if thats true but it may be

It's a very tight shirt that you can barely move in and it helps add pounds to your bench press.
You couldnt wear it in real life

(oh and BTW it's not for bodybuilding, its for power lifting)

The shirts are made of industrial strength material designed to keep your arms out in front of you as if you were at the end of your lockout. Most shirts are somewhat normal in appearance, but still very tight fitting and made of some sort of denim. This guy and some other dude who hit 900 were using more of an arm harness rather than a shirt. and it was made of 4 layers of rigid denim.

The guys who do the squat also have some pretty nasty gear on as well.
