Is it possible to sue boards if you are not treated properly ?
Define "properly". "Properly" from "whose" perspective?

BTW, you can sue pretty much anything or anybody. Whether you do it successfully is the sticking point, & for that your claim has to have merit. In this case, I'm guessing "Not"....

PS: Pls. don't sue me if I treated you "improperly"!!

It's certainly possible, at least in theory, but it would depend on for what exactly. Internet flamewars and the like probably wouldn't count.

What would you sue for? Defamation, libel? You can't sue just because someone treats you badly. You need to prove that the bad treatment caused you "damages", and you need to prove the amount of those "damages" in court.

If you sue for defamation or libel, you must be able to prove that your reputation was hurt to the point of causing you financial hardship. I doubt that would be your case. Moreover, if you use an alias on the board, and if people don't know your real identity, your image is not hurt anyhow.

Finally, you need to consider the financial resources of the people you are suing. If hell froze over and pigs flew to the point that your suit was successful, you could only recover based on the financial resources of the board owners/managers/directors. I doubt that many of these people are independently wealthy, and if they are, they're smart enough to hide their assets carefully.

If you acutually sue a board, let me know. There's so little that's funny on TV anymore, I could use a good laugh!

Abuse, defamation, libel, anxiety, emotional distress, public embarrassment etc...

Since you guys and gals are so interested in "being not treated properly", I feel I owe you guys an explanation:
Being abused, defamation, libel, anxiety, emotional distress, public embarassment, etc...
Now that I answer the question, you guys and gals need to answer this:
Instead of boards, Can I sue the "Canadian broads" successfully in any Court in the world, including the world court ?

Have you been personally identified - i.e. not just your user name?

It really sounds like a consult with a lawyer is in order if you want to find out what potential remedies are actually available, as opposed to what some Internet people speculate as they goof off work.

True or not, this would be difficult to prove even "in real life" ... The internet is fantasy, but no one should be allowed to harass you or create an hostile environment here either.

Has any of this crossed over into your "real life"? If so, consult an attorney to see if you have a case. A female attorney would be more intune to your feelings as I've found that most men just don't "get" the harassment issue.

Sometimes, living well is the best revenge ... move on to friendlier forum(s).
