Of course, they is a way to arrest them for criminal harassment - if what they are doing was criminal harassment.

What they are saying is extremely tasteless and hurtful, and makes you want to thump them. But if a law was introduced that made it a crime to say tasteless and hurtful things, most internet forums and blogs would be closed down the first day. Leaving these wankers free to say these things is the price we pay for freedom of the press.

"Gun Lobby" which is an overly broad term to start with, is monumentally overbroad in this case.

You are correct though about desperate insanity, but it is the same sort of desperate insanity as those who want there to have been multiple assassins shooting at JFK, or 9/11 conspiracy truthers, or the moon landings weren't real gang.
