Strip club owners want 'touching' bylaw changed

That's the way it should be. I don't understand why touching is allowed at MP's but not at strip clubs. I mean a nude reverse isn't just your friendly everyday massage. Strippers and Mp's are both licensed by the city. Why is one ok and not the other?

I'm not sure that patron-touching-staff is allowed by the strict letter of the Toronto law in either kind of establishment. As an example of stuff we all ignore, the Body-Rub license forbids full nudity. But it's a lot easier to detect in the lounges of SCs and with ALG inspectors as well as cops, there's a lot more eyes to see it.

Not the tune you'd sing if the club was two doors down and you had puke and piss allover your driveway and lawn most mornings. Now that every guy's touched a titty in a club, there wouldn't be unruly mobs pushing at the door so there may be nothing to regulate. But I'd just bet the first SC Brothel would bring all that back. There is no evidence we've learned to behave any better in groups; just check out any evening in clubland.

It was why Fantasia was closed. The taxes were only the how.
