You mean stock trading or how to be a stock broker?Does anyone know of any good stock trading courses that are affordable or do any colleges offer any night courses...any help would be great .....Thanks
You mean to much or to little education?I have no idea what kind of educational background most stock brokers have. But
I kind of doubt a MBA degree is the usual job requirement in a brokerage house taking
orders to buy and sell stocks.
Retail investors these days seldom want to use the services of a stockYou mean to much or to little education?
To my knowledge MBA is about the highest level of education of most mutual fund managers.
It goes for around $1k. I recommend it for people looking for familiarize themselves with the Canadian financial markets as a whole. OP said he didn't want to drop $5k. A grand might be more suitable for him. If he googles around, he can find the earlier textbooks that might be enough for him. From the very little I know Canadian Security Course is not cheap. A relative
of mine had to spend something around 1K on fees and material for one course
I seem to remember.
I am under the impression that such courses are more appropriate for
professionals with the intention of upgrading and building their resume.
Based on my experience in dealing with agents and advisors in financial
planning and investing I am very skeptical of the usefulness of formal
schooling for retail investors.
This sounds like a day trading course/school that were popular about 10 yrs ago.lm very new to stocks and would like to try to make a little extra each week ...seen an ad for a school at yonge/finch area , so called to find out details and was told they would give you a 4 hour presentation about there course for free.....But course is 7 days long from 9-5 everyday and they coach you how to trade ,and signals to look for to buy winners, but $5600 Fee....l think this is a bit too much.....maybe there other courses that are more reasonable price.....On line trading is name of the school l called.....
