If a stock splits 2 for 1 the chart will be adjusted to reflect the split. IE if previous high was $100 chart will now show high as $50. Dividends are not reflected in the chart.

I think there are two charts for dividend companies one is unadjusted without dividend payments
the other as adjusted with dividend payments (see post #5 below)

I think you can also get graph showing distributions in relation to unadjusted price of stock
so you can see history of dividend payments. This seems crucial if you accept dividends for income
as you need to know if dividends change when stock price drops

when you ask for graph of dividend stock, like bank stock, in relation to an index like TSX
I would assume that bank stock shows adjusted return of stock (price of stock including dividends )
otherwise WTF good is the comparison graph as it would be misleading to actual return of bank stock
