Still no erchat

Well Fred I have been more then patient with the excuses as to why I can't get on the chat line any more. So much so that I have to tell you I think your new system stinks. Time you got rid of the computer people responsible for this problem and get someone that knows what they are doing, because I'm not the only one having this problem. Ever since you made the changes the problem has occured, and I don't want to hear it is my equipment or server. We didn't make any changes. It has been over a month now. Don't you think that is enough time?

I ask every one that is having the same problem to respond to this post.

Try registering another handle...........under "i'm Back" as your new handle or "I'll be Back Again" See if that works.

Nothing works

I have tried them all Troops and nothing lets me in. As far as I'm concerned It's Terb that is the problem.

IBB- I have been having the same problem as you since the newserver,have new handle and all....was starting to think it was something personal. ..miss the friends made there.

I tried that too Frid but I don't use any symbols.

Solution (temporary)

When you log in originally, and get the error message... look for an illegal character (like a "\" or something) in your username in the URL.

Example: In IBB's case:

http://www.erchat.com/include/applet.php?username=I\'ll%20Be%20Back&password=

Edit out the "\"

May not work for all problems, but it worked for Ahnold.

Thanks a lot Goober, it worked. I guess I know who to go to when I have a problem on this board. I'm whole again.........
