Sirius may rethink the Stern contract.
In the past 6 months stern has dropped signifigantly in all the major US markets.
It may be because people are tired of hearing his rants on his current employer.
But, Stern is losing market share in every major US market by the month.
Stern, while very talented, has most likely reached his pinnacle,
At what point do pople sign up for a service that has a man who for the past 5 years has bitched about his contact?
At some point as a listener you have to say..."Howard...I make 15 bucks an hour..and you're telling me at 9 million a year you have a hardship?"
Howard's time is about to come to an end.
and, it's long overdue.

Howard is a wise wise man. I listen for the news more than anything, but even today, the Jay Leno interview was incredibly good. What a douchebag Leno has become.MarkII said:
I think with Mel K involved in Sirius, they have some very good leadership. He has advertising plans, which to me are far more palatable than additional membership dues (and will be well below Stern's current ad quota). Stern's biggest problem right now is he is handcuffed. Even old stuff they cannot play. I find it amazing they leave him on given every day is an ad for Sirius (though he has already been pulled from a lot of markets).
I am curious what Howard will do on Sirius. Current programming shows they do not have a lot going on, but quite frankly some bits have been hilarious (angry black and king of all blacks debating their shows... high pitch eric interviewing). Personally, part of Stern's appeal was being downtrodden by the FCC... I am not sure what he will rail against now. If I were a betting man, I would still bet on Stern over anyone to succeed in radio. He knows what he is doing, and the competitions sucks (in fact, the only radio personality I like is Mojo Nixon... on Sirius.. who is now announced as Stern's general manager and makes some excellent editorial announcements each day... for example, he agrees with the florida lap dance ban legislation so we can get down to serious handjobs and blowjobs! mebbe you had to be there

Howard Stern is a big overgrown, underendowed guttersnipe, no wonder his wife left him for a black man with a large sex organ. Stern has been influential in pushing the boundaries of raunch on mainstream radio, but he is almost at his expiration date, Q107 was wise to drop him, but not wise in replacing him with that fucking idiot Derringer. I think it was anticipated that enough people would be onto Sirius satellite radio by the time Stern left the mainstream, but it is not going to happen.

Not sure yet if I'll subscribe to satellite radio or not. In a CRTC decision not so long ago Sirius is partnered with a Canadian company which has won one of the Canadian satellite licences.Gawd said:
