Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's latest remarks denying the Holocaust have prompted international condemnation. German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has called them "unacceptable."

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has called Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad "a disgrace", in the wake of a speech in which the Iranian leader again calls the Holocaust "a lie."

"Today's statements by the Iranian president are unacceptable," Steinmeier said in a statement on Friday. "With his intolerable tirades he is a disgrace to his country. This sheer anti-Semitism demands our collective condemnation. We will continue to confront it decisively in the future."

Ahmadinejad was speaking to crowds at Tehran University as part of an anti-Israel "Quds (Jerusalem) Day" rally. He also said that Israel "has no future. Its life has come to an end."

Steinmeier's condemnation is his most strongly worded yet. The White House, the French foreign ministry and British Foreign Secretary David Miliband have also denounced Ahmadinejad's remarks.

This isn't the first time the Iranian president has been criticized for his attitude toward Israel. He has previously called for Israel to be wiped off the map and has repeatedly said the Holocaust, in which six million Jews were killed, was "a myth."

In Germany, denial of the Holocaust is a crime punishable by up to five years in prison.

Come on Cinema. Don't you know it was a translation error. He was just saying that somehow mysterious weapons and money that may or may not have anything to do with Iran could somehow be a part of things as the world watches the completely peaceful dissolution of Israel and the non-violent disappearance of it's non-Muslim residents. Nothing malicious about it at all.

ok.. its generaly recognized that one can not clap with one hand ..

So the question becomes: why is the same puppet show w/ the same cast of characters garner the same audience and, more importantly, the same reaction time after time ??

Trying to divert attention from something, maybe ??

My heart goes out to the good people of Iran. I think it was incredibly brave of women and people in general to dare and speak out against the vial corruption in their country - I'm not sure I would have had the courage to face violence or death to speak out.

Of course President Ahmadinejad is trying to divert attention. From the many internal problems of Iran, as well as from Iran's self inflicted isolation from much of the world community. . . .

Actually, the Trained Seals for Israel are using this to divert attention from the Goldstone Report.

Now Aardvark...don't you know it is all a Zionist conspiracy? The Illumanti set all this up...right?

Nah, I aint buying it either.

Iran has good people, but somehow their figurehead is this arrogantly bigoted cretin who claims to be ....what I am not sure. I am still trying to figure out what is in Iran's best interest by poking the Israeli bee hive. One thing is for sure, with Nethanyu in power in Israel, starting to poke Israel is asking for a fight. Unlike the center left leaders Israel has had, this guy is quite willing to do more than talk about making change in the Middle East.

Iran's theocracy is trying to distract its public into an oppressive present and using Isreal as justification for their nuclear weapons efforts and the fact they shit on human rights at every turn. All dictators need a bogeyman, and Israel is the one of choice for the Muslim world because it means they can keep the public hating someone besides THEM.

It is Ironic...a German having to defend the fact the Holocaust happened. God love Germany...they really are a different society than the jackbooted clowns who started WW2.
