Nonsense results, it told me I have a 5-6% chance of infection from a single safe sex encounter with an SP with a bbbj.
Let's just say I'm in the medical field.Nonsense results, it told me I have a 5-6% chance of infection from a single safe sex encounter with an SP with a bbbj.
If you are already seropositive for herpes and you know you have a genital herpes infection, then you don't have to worry about getting herpes. If you use condoms consistently, then your main risks are: (a) genital warts from HPV (b) HIV from unprotected oral sex. Risk of HIV transmission from protected vaginal sex is extremely low. STD Risk Calculator assumes you are negative for Herpes/HPV when you do the assessment, so a lot of that 5% risk is the chance of getting Herpes and HPV. The risks for HIV acquisition and bacterial STIs (gonorrhea, chlamydia) are low with condoms.Nonsense results, it told me I have a 5-6% chance of infection from a single safe sex encounter with an SP with a bbbj.
I had understood HIV from unprotected oral to be quite rare, not impossible, but not at all common. You've probably had a dozen HPV infections in your lifetime and never know it. That doesn't mean you weren't infected. Clearly you are not interpreting the results properly. FYI, you are at continuing risk for further HPV infections, of which there are 100+ types, only 2 of which cause genital warts, however.
Approximate probability you are free of all of the above infections: 96.2%:thumb:
Nonsense. If it were a significant risk there would be numerous cases.HIV from unprotected oral sex.
Which is ridiculous as well if it is a meant to represent the risk of a single encounter.Did anyone try it as if you were gay and your partner was gay and had unprotected oral and anal sex? CIM and cum in anus? The risk goes way up.
Sounds like Bill Clinton logic. Can you have a safe sex encounter that includes a BBBJ? Or does oral not count as sex? If not, then can one get BBBJs from SP's without cheating on his SO?
5-6% does sound high, though. Even for the crack track in Vancouver.
Debunked!!! Just like the IQ tests. HAHA!Which is ridiculous as well if it is a meant to represent the risk of a single encounter.
People with high risk behavior get infected because they have sex repeatedly and eventually infection becomes a near certainty with enough exposures, but single encounter transmission rate is relatively low.
Not to mention that many of the good old STIs can infect eyes, throat, etc as well as the genital area. Oral Gonorrhea is returning with a vengeance. And Cephalosporin-Resistant Gonorrhea in North America makes that more serious. The IV drug resistant strains emerging in Asia makes it a permanent condition.Let's just say I'm in the medical field.
Here is something to ponder: 5 to 6% is the risk of catching ANY infection from the encounter. There is a very significant risk of getting HPV/herpes from an SP because virtually all SP's are infected and condoms OFFER LITTLE PROTECTION against HPV (i.e. genital warts) and Herpes. Condoms do protect for HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, with much more effectiveness, however. If anything, 5% risk of getting an infection from a safe-sex encounter with SP is low. Keep in mind that HPV and genital herpes infection rates for SPs are greater than 80% (even though there are no symptoms when SPs are working).
Two small points:If you are already seropositive for herpes and you know you have a genital herpes infection, then you don't have to worry about getting herpes. If you use condoms consistently, then your main risks are: (a) genital warts from HPV (b) HIV from unprotected oral sex. Risk of HIV transmission from protected vaginal sex is extremely low. Interesting anecdote. Now go read papers published that are based on a little more facts than what you think.ive never had an std, id say the chances are less that 1% per encounter, the real risk is from unprotected intercourse. everyone I know who have gotten chlamydia its been from civilian girls. most civilians have HPV and it usually goes away on its own as in visible warts
