Im curious if someone knows U.S law inside and out and could provide some advice about the consequences of being caught escorting in the U.S.

For sake of arguement (because the law changes from state to state) lets say New York, or Florida....

I just had a very eye opening talk with an agency owner in Montreal, who informed me that, while it is a simple misdememeanor charge for US citizens (and possible hooker reform school ; ), as a Canadian crossing the border to see clients, we can get booked with a felony...for crossing the border with the intent commit a crime...a much heftier charge

(and possibly mandatory time?)

thank you for any advice on this matter...im sure a few of us girls could benefit.

Circumstances vary case to case.

The charges may vary from case to case, but you may also find yourself flagged by U.S. customs. Your file will be refered to the RCMP and every time you apply for a government job or govenment documents this information will be included in the file.
The U.S. government may also choose not to let you back into the country on future occasions.

Your safest option, of course, is not to SP in the US. Just come here and go shopping like everyone else.

If, however, you must play with fire, then take the following precautions:

a) Consult the US boards and PM with the US SPs. There are also forums on the US boards where legal issues are discussed.
b) Screen all clients heavily. Require at least 2 verifiable references and check up on them.
c) Look into online verification services such as date-check.
d) Keep a good US lawyer on retainer.

All the previously mentioned consequences are IF you get caught, and you have to be convicted for all of that to stick. On the other hand, an arrest record isn't good to have either.
