I just have to say............how uncool you guys look sitting in a group in a parking lot in your colourfull neon and black leatherette motorcycle jump suits sitting on your plastic looking bikes lookin to get attention from chix. Yes they're lookin alright. They're lookin wondering how stupid you guys look in grean or red or pink or blue neon.

Sorry but you guys don't look cool dressed that way. Are you trying to look like you're a proffesional racer because you're wearing patches and neon coloured outfits?.................lmfao.

Man, I totally want a sport bike. But I don't plan on hanging out at a gas bar or nothing. I plan on cruising through the country roads - I want to feel the wind and stuff. Plus I can't afford a high end car, but you can get a great bike quite reasonably. Whoever is pricing cars these days is on crack.

I respectfully disagree! Yes, sitting around in a group wearing full on racing gear (a one pc suit) is taking it too far but there isn't anything wrong with sport bikes.
Alot of the enthusiasts are into the riding and pushing their limits with tricks. They are also into the adrenalin rush you get from going on a track at a speed well over 200.
Two different bikes with two different purposes.

for the record I LOVE sport bikes. But I don't ride...I just like them....I'd take a sport bike over a Harley anyday for my own personal reason. But thats just my opinion.

I could start up on Harley's but I wont....I respect individuality and a mans right to make a choice without ridicule.

I just love when a bunch of guys wearing 20 year old faded black clothes and bandanas with mullets, a bad sunburn and half a helmet ride around on their slow harley's together. Mmmm 20 year old engineering. All loud show and no go, kinda like a fart piped Civic but with a Buick chromy exterior.

Aside from the different IMAGE that goes along with either style of bike, there's the different ride.

You'll always get people who like the soft, laid back luxury of a Rolls.

And you'll always get people who want the hot, cramped, faster than heck Viper.

Except with bikes, you can get the faster'n heck Viper for much less than a luxury touring car.

Personally, I'm for sport bikes. But if I were planning a three day cross country trip with a girl riding on back who loves sight seeing....I'd go with the Harley.


Oh....and as for the group in colourful neon.......well, maybe they are amateur racers who like to get together to discuss their passion. Sometimes people aren't trying to look cool. They just happen to be doing something that gets attention. From hot girls, and from jealous guys who fancy themselves fashion gurus.

Harley riders are the ones who GATHER (sometimes in hundreds)and TRY to look cool. Sport Bike types look cool and sometimes happen to gather.
