This is a serious post. Wouldn't corrections officials be somewhat obligated to place Conrad Black in protective custody upon his arrival in prison? Owing to who he is, I have a hard time believing they would put him in a cell with Big Bubba. Conrad would never survive in the general population... Kind of makes me wonder how Martha Stewart managed to avoid the throngs of lesbians at camp cupcake...

Why do I get the impression that he will do his time at Club Fed rather than a medium security setting?
Why should they not. Same with Paris Hilton. When you are rich, many hate you just for that reason. It would be unfair to them to just throw them in a cell knowing dam well they will be abused.
Maybe its unfair, then again, Paris cried the whole time she was lock up, so did she have it that great--in her eyes.
They do the same to police officers--the very few who land up in prison. Why, same reason, they can not make any friends and will just get abused maybe killed if they were not given special treatment.

What gets me about Black is the $125,000 fine. Thats a joke. He might have made more $$$ off the 6 million he stole from shareholders.
In his case he made more $$$ by stealing, even when hes lock up, his money will still be making more money. He might make $125,000 every month, maybe every week.

He's going to be in a low security Prison not a non-fenced "club Fed." Honest to god, when I saw this thread title, I was thinking of Lauren. Maybe I've been reading the gossip rags a little too much...
