Special needs Clients?

I recently had a man call wanting an outcall. I agreed to meet him and showed up at his house. He met me at the door, he had a gorgeous friendly dog who was happy to see me, and things started off fine. He confessed to a mild disorder he had that seemed like no big deal so we continued on our app't.

He took me to his "room" where I found a single bed, a wall full of hockey posters and a huge collection of DVD's. We got undressed and he says "my parents won't be home for a couple of hours". DOH!

Turns out, this guy is very slow. He talked about the special olympics, and his special needs hockey team where no player gets left on the bench. to make matters stranger, I was his first time.

I had mixed feelings about this. On one hand, if he's ok to make the call and pay for it, he's a customer. On the other hand, I felt like I was disobeying his parents or something. lol. I got totallly weirded out. I guess they need sex too, and if I didn't do it, someone else would have.

What do you all think?

Well from being with the agency (Cupids) I got sent on a lot of special needs calls without knowing the situation at hand. From the sounds of your appointment you gave himt he proffesional service to the best of your ability. good job on that part.

on the other hand your boundaries were pushed to make you feel uncomfortable. Somtimes its not worth taking the calls if your boundaries are going to pushed to make you feel uncomfortable or some form of guilt or uncertainty. What I remember from being with the agencies I would be sent on calls where they are young guys who are clearly in thier parents homes. I have to tune out if they tell me if thier parents home.

As long as he understands his actions as is of legal age, I think it's great.

Probably not easy for a guy who qualifies for special olympics and lives at home to get laid

I had a call not so long ago from a guy with cerebral palsy.I was unaware of this before I got to the apt.No worries,this guy could do just as much as the next guy and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all.It was a totally inspiring experience all in all

Some other symtoms/signs are:

Frequent misspelling of words.
Poor use of capitalization, punctuation and grammar.
Inability to write coherent sentences.
Difficultly in staying on a topic being discussed.

I'm not sure how I would have reacted to the same situation.

The disability of the client wouldn't have bothered me. I have a few regular disabled clients (either physically or mentally), and I always enjoy my time with them. They are all among the most respectful and genuinly grateful clients I've met.

But the "my parents won't be home for a couple of hours" would have bothered me. On the one hand, I understand that he probably lives with his parents because he needs caretakers, and can't live on his own. But on the other hand, I wouldn't be comfortable seeing a client in a context where I could be walked on by his parents. Not only would it be an extremely uncomfortable situation, but I would also feel disrespectful of their home and their privacy.

It's a tricky one really.

I think that there is a difference between mental and physical impairment. For physical impairments, absolutely it is good if someone can get an SP and have sex, that is very worthwhile. But people who are mentally retarded are different, they are like children to some extent. The issue is of consent, whether a mentally retarded person can make an informed consent to have sex. Even Howard Stern would arrange strippers to have sex with various crazy people, physically handicapped people, midgets, etc. But he drew the line at retarded people.

The fact that this guy could set up the appointment, and pay for it, suggests that he was with it enough to consent. But in a situation where it was set up by his brother or something like that, consent would be a concern.

Dutch Attitude - Government Pays

I think the Government of the Netherlands has the best attitude and believe that sexual healthy is important for all. If I am not mistaken I think the government pays select SP to provide a service for those not able to make contacts themselves.

Be interesting to hear comments from others who might know if this is true or not but seems to be excellent for self image of those with Special Needs.
