SP/MP Nearest to Lake of Bays

This may be a silly question, but as they say, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained". I'm staying near Lake of Bays next weekend and looking for the nearest (and acceptable....I know that acceptable is subjective, but work with me here) SP/MP for a field trip away from a snowbound cottage full of guys.

I can see that Barrie is on the list, but any suggestions on anything a bit closer?

Where is Lake of the Bays? Never heard of it.

Between Baysville and Dorset, NE of Bracebridge.

If you want close, there is an Asian MP at #1 King William St Huntsville in the mini mall with M&M Meats. If you are coming in from Baysville, it's at the set of lights on King William at Chaffey before KFC/ Honda dealership. Entrance off of Hanes St. It's been reviewed here before.

If you want to enjoy yourself, you're looking at a drive to Barrie. Otherwise call a SP to drive up.

if you REALLY need to

yes there is an mp in huntsville on the mainstrip, but i would not recommend going...not worth it

with new bylaws inplace the mp has been very strict about everything.
some have reported no menu(limited anyway) on the first visit, only on the 2nd and 3rd.
the attendants(2 - same everytime) are asian 40+ and very unattractive at any standards.
rooms are 30/$50/45/$70/60/$100 last i heard.

Thanks for the info and warnings...about what I expected....a drive to Barrie may be needed.
