Was he on Southwest or Air Canada?
haha.. I was just thinking the same. Just came back from Singapore yesterday and saw what a freaking difference between Air Canada and Singapore Airlines. We have 2-3 ladies over 50-60 on and a 60 plus yrs old dude in my flight with Air canada. Singapore air lines has good looking young ladies always checking on customers making sure they are ok and serving you with free wines, foods, drinks and lots of basic supplies such as tooth brushes, tooth pastes and perfumes in the w/c. Air Canada charges you for cheap ear phones and lousy food.

Air Canada flight attendants are unionized, therefore, all the hot young ones get laid off first.

I flew a lot with SAS in the 70's. Tall, blonde stewardesses. They are still there, called flight attendants and in their 60's.

I am older and uglier too, mind you.

Are you sure that the word "off" belongs in this sentence?

I listened to the guy too.

What a poisonous dickwad. His comments on gays and women and his wasting time staying up only to listen to women TALK is indickative of him being a dick!

Guys who exhibit this behaviour are dangerous in the cockpit and poison in the workplace as even when they are on their leash and behave, this attitude still leaks out.

I hope he gets his ass fired by Southwest and gets a job on an Alaskan crab boat!
You don't have to like what he said but cut the guy some slack. Think what it would be like if you could read the private thoughts of everyone you passed on the street or who what in the room with you. Like John Coffey in The Green Mile I believe most of us would soon be "rightly tired of the pain" "like pieces of glass" of knowing others inner thoughts.

The best we can do is base our opinion on how he actually treats others.

He was the Captain and as such the First Officer (co-pilot) is in a potentially difficult situation. If he is uncomfortable with the obnoxious boor and he says something about it, it casts a chill in the cockpit. That chill can affect safety through compromised Crew/Cockpit Resource Management.
That is actually the most serious part of this.

FCC regulations are routinely violated every minute of every hour of every day of the year and almost none of those people have any action taken other than "Don't do it again."

He hasn't been fired, and he isn't going to be fired.

i've been flying since a young age like most of you i guess. Up until I moved to Canada, I only sat on carriers like KLM, Lufthansa, Thai Airways, Korean Air, Air India etc... and I used to fall in love with almost all the stewardesses and had endless fantasies of them while travelling. The first time I took Air Canada, I couldn't believe my eyes... seemed like my grandma was serving us. Its all the same all the times I took Air Canada.

on another note, anyone travelled in Air Berlin? damnnn the girls are soo young there.. probably early 20's and dress very hip/young ;)

keep your heads on fellas. We do not live in a day and age where you can say what you want.
Be respectful, polite, quiet, and encourage diversity. Then secretly do everything in your power to get what you want.
A man should shut the fuck up, but use everything he can, including money, to achieve his own ends. We are presented with the fallacy of a free and open society, but we do not live in one, as a free and open society would encourage honesty, which ours does not. We live in a glossed-over, semi-fair society, with an increasingly skewed income distribution.
Be an economically minded sith lord.

It is a known fact that Air Canada stewardesses are usually not that young/hot. That said, sometimes on AC - not often, but sometimes - on the low pecking order flights (like 1 hour short hauls) there sometimes are new hires who are young and cute/sexy. One on a YYZ-IAD CRJ was quite hot as I recall. The transatlantic long hauls go to ones with more seniority who are older I find. Union senority, etc. Some national flag carriersd put the young hotties on the long hauls to present the world with that image; AC does not subscribe to this approach.

These were not his "private thoughts".
He was unprofessional and profrane.

They were also his private thoughts, and he will continue to have them no matter how many diversity courses he is forced to sit through. But he won't utter them again in the cockpit.
